The Executive Director of the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), Mr. Jim Cox, has reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to sustaining its investments in Sierra Leone’s agricultural sector. This pledge, made during his visit to the United Methodist Church Sierra Leone Annual Conference, aligns with both the strategic vision of its new Bishop and the country’s national food security framework.
During his first official visit to Sierra Leone in his current role, Mr. Cox conveyed warm greetings from the General Secretary of the General Board of Global Ministries. He commended the Sierra Leone Annual Conference on its progress and encouraged continued focus on achieving desired outcomes and diligent management of project assets to maximize impact.
The Resident Bishop, Dr. James Boye-Caulker, welcomed the UMCOR delegation. In response, he expressed his profound delight and assured the Executive Director of his strong commitment to sustainability, dynamic partnership, and the enhanced delivery of project results. He further guaranteed strict compliance with all asset management and partnership terms.
