On the 11th May, 2025, in a well-attended divine service at Floris United Methodist Church in Florida, USA, Bishop James Boye-Caulker delivered a passionate and inspirational message commemorating the 25th anniversary of the partnership between Helping Children Worldwide and the Sierra Leone Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Bishop Boye-Caulker began by expressing heartfelt thanks and profound gratitude on behalf of the Sierra Leone Annual Conference to the congregation of Floris United Methodist Church, where the vision for this transformative partnership first began.

He emphasized the tremendous impact the partnership has made over the past 25 years — providing homeless and street children with safe spaces where they can experience the love of God, and establishing Mercy Hospital, which offers affordable and dignified healthcare to the poor and vulnerable in Sierra Leone.
Reflecting on the origins of the collaboration, Bishop Boye-Caulker honored the legacy of the late Bishop John K. Yambasu, acknowledging him as the visionary behind the initiative.

Looking forward, Bishop Boye-Caulker reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the partnership and exploring new opportunities to support vital programs in Sierra Leone.
