Bishop James Boye-Caulker Welcomes Bishop Tom Berlin and Team on Medical Outreach Visitation Sierra Leone

With support from the United Women in Faith Regional Missionary, Bishop Dr. James Boye-Caulker commissioned the United Women in Faith Bakery—a transformative initiative and empowerment for the United Methodist Women’s Organization in Kenema District.
This initiative by the United Women in Faith Regional Missionary, in collaboration with the Sierra Leone Country Team, aims to empower women economically and strengthen their contributions not only in church, but also in their communities, families, and society as a whole.
Welcoming the bishop and his delegation to Kenema, Rev. Edna Boima, thanked the conference and the United Women in Faith Regional Missionary for choosing the Kenema District for the implementation of this project. She called for unity and commitment to the church’s growth, urging everyone to embrace the bishop’s vision for the church.
The National Women’s Coordinator, Madam Ethel Sandy, expressed gratitude to Bishop Boye-Caulker and conference officials for gracing the occasion. She emphasised that the bakery serves as an empowerment tool to help women meet financial obligations within the organisation and the church. She urged the Kenema District women to manage the bakery effectively in fulfilment of its purpose.
On her part, Madam Finda Quiwa, Regional Missionary, extended greetings on behalf of United Women in Faith—underscored that the organisation’s global mission is to support vulnerable women, children, and youth through developmental initiatives. She commended the Sierra Leone Country Team for completing the bakery and expressed hope for continued collaboration on future projects.
The Project Coordinator, Madam Keziah Kargbo, thanked God for the completion of the project and revealed that this initiative will boost economic independence and support education for women. Despite the challenges ahead, she encouraged the Kenema District women to embrace and sustain this project.
On behalf of the Sierra Leone Country Team, Madam Sara Jalloh praised God for overcoming obstacles in the completion of the project. She urged the women to utilise the bakery wisely to uplift themselves, their families and the community.
The National Women’s President, Madam Hannah Sia Senesie, expressed gratitude to United Women in Faith and encouraged beneficiaries to manage the bakery responsibly—stressing the importance of unity and mutual support among the women.
Alusine Ambrose Musa, National Men’s President, applauded the women’s perseverance in completing the project and advised wise management and solidarity for the organisation’s progress.
In his address, Bishop Dr James Boye-Caulker commended the United Women in Faith and the Sierra Leone County Team for their collaborative efforts—drawing inspiration from the unity of the Israelites.
