Women clergy extend hand to patients, prisoners

New drilling machine boosts clean water efforts
About 60 million Nigerians, 30% of the population, lack access to safe drinking water, according to a report by UNICEF and the World Health Organization. The lack of clean water contributes to a high prevalence of waterborne diseases, threatens the livelihoods of small-scale farmers, and contributes to low levels of school enrollment, especially among girls.
United Methodists fight COVID-19 around the globe

Solar lamps ease work of clergy, students in Nigeria
The solar products were provided by the United Methodist German Mission Board, which has a partnership with the episcopal area. “Almost 90% of the Nigeria population is facing power challenges, and these solar lanterns will help clergy in terms of devotion, Bible studies and other church activities,” said Nigeria Area Bishop John Wesley Yohanna.
