BO, SIERRA LEONE — The United Methodist Church Sierra Leone Annual Conference launched its Annual Pastoral Retreat on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at the Child Reintegration Center in Kulanda Town, Bo. Running through Friday, August 21, the event brings together clergy members under the theme “Equipping Faithful Leaders for Effective Ministry,” anchored in the biblical text of 2 Timothy 2:2.
Opening the conference, Resident Bishop James Boye-Caulker addressed the gathered clergy, delivering a charge that urged pastors to demonstrate diligence, dedication, and hard work in their ongoing ministerial duties. The four-day gathering focuses on leadership development, spiritual renewal, and practical ministry strategies for pastoral leaders across the region.
