The Lowell and Ruth Gess United Methodist Eye Hospital—originally founded as the Kissy Eye Clinic by Dr. Lowell Gess in 1976—has grown into Sierra Leone’s foremost eye care center, offering surgeries, diagnostics, outreach services, and cutting-edge treatment for complications like retinal disease and post-Ebola vision issues
